Wild Rag Garments is for people who do not just wear clothes, they live in them. Our founder, Chase Johnsen, a proclaimed western heritage enthusiast, and barber based in San Diego, has spent years designing selvedge denim and rugged outerwear. From his LA-based line, John Collins Denim Designs, to Wild Rag Garments today, every piece reflects tradition, toughness, and attention to detail.
Austin, a USMC Veteran, who grew up on Zaca Creek Ranch in California, is a true cowboy at heart. He and Chase met at FreeBird Barbershop in San Diego, where Austin was a client. Their shared values and vision led to a partnership that shapes our culture.
We stand against fast fashion and throwaway trends. No polyesters, no mass production. Small-batch, limited-run garments made with natural materials, proven construction, and time-tested fits inspired by early American workwear. These are garments that ride with you.
